Three Unknown Homicide Victims Identified Within 45 Minutes Using FingerSCAN DecedentID
Three unknown decedents were found near the Light Rail Station off I-25 and Broadway in Denver, Colorado. According to Investigator Harris Neil, with the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, "I had a triple homicide last night, with three homeless victims with no ID. I left the scene about 7:45pm and had all three ID'd by 8:30pm. This is huge, since it was on the news and countless concerned people with homeless friends and relatives have been calling our office. FingerSCAN DecedentID makes it tremendously helpful to put their minds at ease that the person they're inquiring about is not a victim. It also saves our staff from having to collect information on a potential next-of-kin that ends up not having any bearing on the case."
FingerSCAN DecedentID is a mobile app that runs on Android, iOS and Windows devices and works with a very small scanner that can be used to capture rolled and flat images from decedents. The app also generates a decedent fingerprint card that can be emailed or transmitted via secure FTP to a remote server while in the field. Learn More
