Immigration Fingerprinting
Learn How Immigration Attorneys Expedite Their Clients' FBI Identification Record Requests

Given the White House's position on immigration, there has been a growing demand for fingerprinting individuals seeking to work, travel and live in the United States. This in turn has prompted Immigration Attorneys to find ways to expedite the application process and one way to expedite this process is to submit the required fingerprint records electronically.
Attorneys can use a livescan system to fingerprint their lawful permanent residents (any person not a citizen of the U.S. who is residing in the U.S. under legally recognized and lawfully recorded permanent residence as an immigrant - also known as "Permanent Resident Alien", "Resident Alien Permit Holder," and "Green Card Holder") and submit the fingerprint records electronically through an approved FBI Channeler. The FBI Identification Record request would be considered an Authorized Recipient request and the Attorney can receive the results back on behalf of the individual seeking to immigrate as long as the individual has authorized the attorney to receive these results back from the FBI. There is a formal Attorney Letter that authorizes this.
If the individual being fingerprinted is not a lawful permanent resident, the Immigration Attorney will not be allowed to submit the fingerprint record electronically through the FBI Channeler. Instead, the fingerprint record will need to be printed to an FD-258 card and submitted to the FBI through regular mail.
WoVoIS' livescan system works with an approved FBI Channeler and can also be used to print-to-card (FD-258).
